The GARY COLEMAN Analysis

I’m sure everyone remembers Gary Coleman from the sitcom back in the 80’s entitled “Different Strokes.”

Gary played the role of an adopted little boy, who also had a brother, “Willis’. They were adopted by an older white gentleman, Mr. Drummand. Mr. Drummand Was such a natural good loving dad.

This was one of my favorite shows at that time. Man, just sitting and reminiscing makes me all happy inside.

Fast forward to real Life situations that allegedly occurred to Gary Coleman in his later years.

At some point in his adult life, he was diagnosed with a kidney disorder. Nevertheless, Coleman died of a brain hemorrhage in 2010.

Unfortunately, Coleman allegedly had difficulty finding an insurance company that would insure him due to his advance stage kidney disease.

https://www.businessinsider.com/life-insurance-lessons-in-celebrity-deaths-2013-5?am

It was said that Coleman’s ex-wife made a video where She claimed the “Diff’rent Strokes” actor had difficulty getting life insurance because of kidney disease.

Whether or not this is true, it may not be tyour exact situation, but I’m explaining this scenarios because things can be a lot different for you.

We have access to over 100 A rated carriers who can insure you even if you have an advanced stage disease.

Give me a call and we will try our best to get you insured.

No one wants to have their families create a gofubdme page to bury them..

Get your priorities in order. We’re all going to pass from this earth. We might as well accept it and come to grips with the situation..

Try to snag even a couple small life insurance policies to cover funeral arrangements and to assist in helping other you leave behind.

Its quite normal to have one Whole Life policy and one term policy. Whatever. You decide to do, just get insurance today because tomorrow isn’t promised.

Real Life Testimonies

Here is another true story about a daughter who’s parents purchased a sizable life insurance policy before their passing. The daughter is now an insurance agent. She was grateful for them purchasing the Life Policy and she explains how it changed her life in so many ways.

Camilla Yes!! I can definitely agree. Before I got licensed and learned more about life insurance. I definitely did not see the value in owning a policy.

It’s funny though, because both of my parents died when I was very young, and they both had life insurance which paid my guardian some money every month and then cashed out to me once I turned 18.

I was able to pay for schooling, housing, stuff that I didn’t need LOL etc.

It gave me a great start.

Wish I’d known more about finances… but that’s another story!! An Insurance policy changed my life !!!!!!

Can you imagine your LOVED one being able to paint a similar picture? Something you did which changed their life for the better.

I loved reading this story. Please share your experiences with us too.

Real Life Testimonies from the heart

A testimony: Long post, but hopefully encouragement. I don’t have much blood family that I have contact with, yet I have 2 older sisters.

We were never that close, as they are 10 and 15 years older, but still in contact. The stress of our Mom not having life insurance when she passed, when we thought she did, broke what was left of any relationship we had. I had already been the one looking out for her, so I ended up taking on all the cost of her Final Arrangements. $9k that I didn’t need to be spending at the time. I vowed I would never do that to my kids, yet still didn’t make the moves to cover myself and husband properly.

We have 5 children, not a smart move not being covered, especially when my husband had a hazardous job.

Fast forward 2 years, my husband gets injured on his job. No, Disability income policy. Then the pandemic hits. I had to decide that while homeschooling 4 kids, and tending to a hurt husband that I needed to go back to school. So I did, and went back for Paralegal Technology, but then I saw a post about being Financially Free and putting your bills on autopay.

I said..well I want that too! So here I am…40 years old, taking 17 credits in college, homeschooling 4 kids.

If I can do it, you can too! I have my days where I want to give up, where I feel lost, and want to quit. I have little help, but I just take it one day at a time.

This is a phenomenal testimony about reasons you should get Life Insurance. Stop putting it off.

Today is the day to make a sound decision.

Who needs Life Insurance with Living benefits?

This is a superb question. Not everyone will fall into the category of possibly needing a Living Benefit Rider.

Whats a Rider?

Just as you see the little lady riding her significant other’s back⅞ in the photo on this article, a rider does similar behavior. A rider “RIDES or attaches onto your policy,” to help you in case of unforseen critical illnessin ñ.

However, anyone can add a rider onto just about any policy you choose.

In our professional opinion, considering your health history, the persons that we would recommend this type of rider to would be the following:

  • Family history of illnesses such as:
  • Any Cancer
  • Alzheimers
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Any serious illness that runs in your family

It’s much better to be prepared before trouble strikes. Its very hard to get insured when you’re already diagnosed with an illness than if you already have a current policy in place before you need it.

As they say, “Get in front of any potential issue.”

You would be surprised at how inexpensive a policy can be while you’re still young and spry.

If you have any questions give us a call or set up a FREE consultation. We don’t mind discussing your options..

Does Life Insurance cover suicide?

Life is a magnificent gift that we have  freely received.  Its the most beautiful gift of all. Life is a gift that cannot be packaged  in a box, nor can it be purchased.  Life is irreplaceable and one of its kind.

It gives me JOY to start this conversation on a positive note because the word suicide has no good tied to it.

When we hear of someone committing suicide it truly makes us cringe to the core. No one likes discussing our mortality, but in reality, we must have those difficult conversations if we want to change the world.

Suicide and Life Insurance

When purchasing a life insurance policy, if you aren’t already aware, there is a suicide clause attached to just about every life insurance policy.

When insurance companies decide to insure their clients, they are taking on a risk. Furthermore, they must protect themselves the best they can by adding certain stipulations and clauses to each policy.

Insurance is purchased for the clients protection, but with protection of the insurance company as well. Its a give and take situation.

The “Suicide Clause,” is usually this: within the first 2 years of the issue date of a life policy, the insurance company will not pay benefits to the insurer’s beneficiary if the insured commits suicide.

If suicide is committed within those first two years of the policy, the insurance company may return all premiums to the insured due to the unfortunate occurrence.

So you see, we think insurance is a rip off and I get it, it seems so. However, they do have a heart ❤.

They do not have to return the premiums back to the owner if they didn’t care.

It’s no one’s fault that the suicide happened. Its not the beneficiary fault, nor is it the insurance companies fault.

No one can predict that an individual may possibly attempt suicide.

Nevertheless, this is a prime example of why everyone from newborns to high-school and college aged young adults should have an insurance policy.

So many unexpected life situations beyond our control can happen and when and if it does, someone needs to be prepared for a burial.

I understand these are rough conversations that no one wants to have, but everyone needs to have these discussions today.

In closing, if you have any questions please send us a message below and we will get back within 24 ron48bhiurs or less.

We are here for you.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Policy

If you’re like most people, you’ve received numerous pieces of mail that offered some type of insurance coverage.

Personally, I receive these in the mail several times a week. Guess where most, if not all, of them end up? Yup, you guessed it — IN THE TRASH.

Most of this “junk mail,” comes from my bank, no less. I often wonder who’s at the top of this junk mailer decision.

Lord help me. Credit card companies send a plethora of junk mail too.

JUST STOP

Sometimes I feel like writing everyone and say STOP SENDING THESE TO ME. If I didn’t complete it the last 50 times, then I’m not completing the 51st one.

Back to the business at hand ✋ .

Let’s talk about one particular policy that arrives in the mail and I actually completed it and turned it in; however, I really didn’t understand what I signed up for.

All I knew was it was from my bank and it was for Accidental Death & Dismemberment, but thats about the jist of it.

Now that I understand just exactly what an AD &D policy is and does, why not share my knowledge with you all.

In a nutshell, most AD&D policies cover the owner of the policy, which is usually the insured, in the event of an unfortunate accident resulting in death or Dismemberment.

Face Amount

The face amount of the policy is the benefit that may be paid to the insured or beneficiary, in case of a covered accident.

Face Amount can be any dollar amount stated on your contract. MOST benefits payout starting at $25k and up; however, all contracts are different.

Whats usually covered?

  • Accidental death (auto accident, vehicle, slip and fall, etc)
  • Almost any accident not resulting due to your contribution.

What’s not covered

  • Accidents that happen in the commission of a crime
  • Accidents where you signed a waiver of your rights. (Hiking, bungee jumping, sky diving, etc)
  • Accidents caused by you being under the influence of alcohol or illegal or illicit drugs.
  • Et al

Time constraints

Death or Dismemberment must have occurred within 90 days of the accident. Anything transpiring or ongoing after 90 days may not be covered. For example: if you’re in the hospital longer than 90 days and then you pass away, death benefit may not be paid.

The injury

In order for most death benefits to be paid out will require the following to have occurred:

  • Death
  • Loss of 2 of the same Limbs or vision
  • Loss of 1 of 2 limbs or vision. Ex: 1 eye & 1 arm

This gives you a quick idea of what an AD&D policy covers.

Most AD&D policies are fairly inexpensive. You never know when an accident may occur so, this type of policy is so affordable that just about anyone should be able to purchase one.

In most cases,, It’s more lucrative to purchase this than raising funds on Gofundme.

AD&D Policy

I’ve had my AD&D policy for numerous years now.

In addition, some of these policies will cover your spouse and/or children too.

REMINDER- BENEFICIARY

Please make sure your policy is completely filled out . You must include a beneficiary in order for someone to receive the death benefit should you expire in an unfortunate accident.

You really can’t beat the AD&D policy.

If you would like more information or a free quote on the possibility of purchasing one from us, please complete the form below and someone will contact you within 24 hours

Your College student can Save you Money on Your Car Insurance

Insurance is one of those expenses that most people loathe. That includes me too.

I’m an insurance agent, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy paying insurance. I’ve learned that it is a necessary evil, 😈 if you will.

No matter how you look 👀 at it, insurance is something we can’t live without.

We live in a fallen world and because it is riddled with people who make mistakes, insurance was created to help compensate for some of those unfortunate errors.

Just think, if there wasn’t any insurance, we would have to pay out of pocket for everything. Can you imagine how expensive that would be? Can you imagine the fights that would ensue for people who couldn’t afford to pay for their car repairs, funerals, electronic breakdowns, etc.

I truly believe, without insurance, this world would be in chaos.

Sometimes insurance may save you a whole bunch of money, even though you haven’t put much into it.

In the same way, one may pay on insurance for 10 years and never make a claim. However, the moment your policy lapse or you choose not to purchase insurance -something happens and you kick yourself for not making a move on it when it was first presented to you.

I’ve been there many times with warranties. I wanted to be frugal and not purchase a warranty. Low and behold, something occurred and I was kicking myself for not purchasing the warranty that was offered. Has that every happened to you?

Listen to the small voice in your head.

I’m not an auto agent at the moment, but I’m always willing to learn more than need be.

When attempting to lower my own personal auto insurance, I came across a very knowledgeable person who offered ways to get discounts on my automobile policy.

We will discuss various ways in another post, but for now let’s focus on college students.

If you are lucky enough to have a hard working college student, you can get an GOOD DRIVER discount because your student has maintained good grades on their college transcript.

What do you mean GOOD STUDENT?

The student has to maintain a 3.0 GPA or better in order to qualify for the Good Student discount.

Most insurance companies won’t rush to divulge saving methods unless you specifically ask for ways to cut back and save on your policy.

What to ask your agent ?

Next time you contact your auto insurance carrier, ask them if they offer a good student discount. Your insurance carrier should readily know exactly what that means.

Information you may need

  • Name of student
  • Name of school
  • Copy of recent college transcript
  • Semester of attendance

How much discount could I receive?

The Good Student discount could be as much at 10% off your policy. Every little bit counts. I want all of the discounts I can handle.

We hope this post was very helpful and informational.

Thank you for visiting us online. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at any time.

My job is to give you as much knowledge as I can. My goal is to make sure you are prepared and your family doesn’t have to make tough decisions in the midst of grief.

My story

My mom passed away in 2016 and it was a truly devastating time for my family because things escalated quickly.

I was at her home the day she passed away. The ambulance arrived to her home and whisked her away to the hospital. That day happened so quickly I didn’t have time to think. The attendants came into the hospital room to let the know she passed. Tears and sorrow came over our family.

The next thing that happened was so upsetting, but now as I think back, it’s the hospital personnel’s job to do their unfortunate duty to deal with death.

Next

An attendant or nurse came in the room and asked us what did we want to do with her remains. We only had a few more minutes and they needed to clear the room for someone else.

Unbelievable ! How could they rush us this way. Our mother just passed away! We weren’t prepared to be kicked out of the room minutes after our mom had passed away. We needed some time to process everything.

They wanted to know what funeral home to contact to come and pick up her remains. We were devastated and upset. However, we had to make this decision and make it quickly.

What Can you do

I told you my story so you can get an idea of what is coming to your family one day.

This gift definitely won’t be on someone’s “wanted List this year. Neverthess, it should be considered by someone who knows tomorrow isn’t promised.

Toys. Electronics, or even the latest fashion trends will be outdated within months of Christmas time.

The reality is that they won’t outgrow an insurance policy.

Life insurance is the perfect way to invest in someone’s future.

Purchasing insurance for a healthy baby or grandchild can be very affordable.

If you purchase a permanent policy, you can grow a cash value which can provide money, in which the young adult can borrow or withdraw against for future use.

A permanent policy can assist them in paying towards future college expenses or even a down payment on their first home.

Another benefit is that when the child gets to the age where they can purchase a policy, they can do so.

This gift is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Facts about life insurance

Life insurance companies have defined legalities in which you must adhear to..

For starters,, You can’t purchase a policy on just anyone. You must have an insurable interest on the person. This means you must be closely related to or associated with that person.

You can only purchase policies for a relative, domestic partner, or business associate.

If purchasing a life policy on a minor, you will be required to provide their name, date of birth, address, Social Security Number, and a statement of how you are related.

And although a medical exam might not be required initially, you’ll typically need to provide some basic health information on the child.**

If you are a grandparent

Since grandparents are generally considered extended caregivers, many states will allow you to buy life insurance for your grandchild without the parent’s consent or knowledge.

You can name yourself, the child’s parents, or even another family member (such as a sibling) as a beneficiary. However, rules may vary by carrier.

If you’re considering the gift of a life insurance policy, complete ome of our contact pages and we will contact you within 24 hours.

We will ensure you are taking good care of and that your baby or grandchild has a healthy financial start.

A healthy financial start in life can be the very thing your loved one needs to change the trajectory of generations.

I’m Single, young, and Rich

Why do I need a life insurance policy if I’m single, young, and rich?

Good question ! Especially in the age of social media, including the ever so popular YOUTUBE. We know there are some billionaires out there from YOUTUBE.

Young people are a driving force for the new currency. People no longer have to wait until they graduate high school or college to begin making some serious cash.

This is the main reason this generation of millennials need to start thinking about life insurance and investments today.

Technology is escalating at phenomenal speeds. One minute we are purchasing the latest and greatest phones and computers. The next minute what was the BIG phenomenon is outdated.

This exact scenario has played out in the insurance world as well.

Its great to have a bunch of money when you’re young. It’s even great that you’re single and you don’t have many people to worry about except for yourself.

Questions to Ask yourself

  1. Where do you house your money? Banking or credit union, etc
  2. How much interest does your money earn each month?
  3. Would you like to earn more or are you satisfied with where you are?
  4. How much would you like to earn on your money while it’s sitting in the bank?
  5. Do you plan on having a family in the future?
  6. Do you plan on working the rest of your life?
  7. What are you doing as far as saving for retirement?
  8. What will happen to your money when you die?
  9. Don’t you want your family to be set for life?

These are just a few questions I would like for you to answer before you pick up the phone to give me a call.

It doesn’t matter whether you are young or old, everyone needs more insurance.

Whether you need insurance to meet a certain need immediately or if you’re needing it for long term cash flow investments.

We can assist you in growing your money exponentially.

Give us a call. We will ask you a few questions and then give you our professional assessment of what your next smart move should be.

Welcome

We are glad you stopped by The Motte Agency, serving Texas and California. We are a one stop shop for your insurance, accident, and health needs.

Most of my life I thought having insurance was a complete waste of hard earned money.

Now that I’m much older and much wiser, I have a different perspective on insurance, which i one of the main reasons I was drawn to this field of business.

Reasons why this is the perfect career path for me

1. I’m never to old to make a difference in someone’s life

2. As long as I have breath in my body, I can find just one more person to assist.

3. I don’t want to be that person who has attained knowledge about something that’s inevitable and I kept it to myself. My job is to let everyone know, accidents are real, sickness is real, death is real.

What changed my mind?

To be honest, I simply grew up and saw so many families, hurt, lost, dismayed, broken, broke and even destitute when someone passed away in their family.

Why waste money on something you may never need or use?

Perfect question. I used to think the same exact thing. I truly thought insurance companies were the biggest rip off sector.

Case study 1

I’m sure most of you have gone to the store, like Walmart and purchased some items, like a TV, or the ever so popular Playstation 5.

Did the salesperson ask you if you wanted to purchase a 1-4 year warranty for your equipment?

Warranty = insurance policy for tangible items.

The salesperson continued to tell you the price of the warranty. You take a deep breath and ponder just how much money you have to spend on the item you purchase.

The salesperson begin to explain that the warranty covers any accidental breaks, spills, manufacture defects, etc.

Next, you think that the extra $100 wasn’t in your budget.

What to do?

Scerio 1

You decided not to purchase the insurance because you didn’t have any extra money and after all, you would be very careful with the. New gaming system.

A month later you were out on a date with your girlfriend ,assuming you’re a guy.

Unbeknownst to you, your second cousin twice removed came over and was so excited to see that you have the LATEST gaming device.

He asked your mom if he could play just one game and he would be very careful. She said yes. Back to the purchase and you start kicking yourself because you didn’t purchase the warranty.

So you see, accidents happen every single day.

We have to start thinking smart.

I don’t know what the future holds, but what I do know, is that I want to be prepared for the unexpected.

Contact me so you’re not left in the dark when unexpected tragedy strikes.

Asking others for handouts is not comfortable at all. Its really not necessary due to the purcjade of a life insurance policy.
